10000 percent. Framing the outcomes in a good/bad binary is bound to set parents up for perceived failures and shame.

You are definitely paying it forward to the parents in the autism spectrum community. Bravo!

Did you see the video for “Amazing Grace graduation from Clemson University”?

They showed it on the Today show yesterday morning and and interviewed the parents and daughter. They talked about programs at Clemson and other colleges. Al Roker said his son Nick was graduating this week with his Associates degree.

I enjoy your articles, but I was surprised to see your home. It looks very similar to the house I grew up in - located in Mahwah NJ. 195 Overlook Place was the address. Seeing those photos of your family in the backyard brought back childhood memories for me. I lived there until I went away to college. Looking at your pics I felt neighborly.
